Breast Cancer Tumor Board

The Revlon/UCLA Breast Center Tumor Board was established in September of 2008. This prospectively reviews all breast cancer cases treated by the four surgeons of the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center.  As of April of 2012, more than 1000 patients' cases have been reviewed by the Revlon/UCLA Breast Cancer Tumor Board. The board meets every two weeks to review the diagnostic studies of all cases and to discuss the multidisciplinary treatment plan by a panel of breast cancer specialists. The team includes UCLA faculty members from surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology and radiology.

The Revlon/UCLA Breast Center Tumor Board findings and recommendations in each case are recorded and feedback is provided to the patient's treating surgeon. This program promotes a comprehensive cancer care to all of our patients. The program also offers an excellent learning opportunity to all trainees coming from different specialties.
